MEMPHIS, Tenn. - It's been two years since the Peppertree Apartments in Whitehaven closed after part of the complex collapsed. A community meeting Tuesday night is set to discuss the future of that property.

The last tenants moved out of the apartments in December 2023. It came after the property lost funding from the U.S. Housing and Urban Development following a string of crimes and violence. Many of the units became inhabitable before the complex's closing.

FOX13 previously reported on the trouble at Peppertree apartments. This included fires and collapsed stairs. The complex was ultimately cited for poor liv
