BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – One of multiple shooters who opened fire inside a crowded Brooklyn club in August was caught in North Carolina, prosecutors said.
Elijah Roy, a 25-year-old from Brooklyn, is accused of participating in the gang-related shooting that killed three people and injured 10 more, according to U.S. Attorney Joseph Nocella.
Prosecutors say Roy is a member of the 5-9 Brims gang, which is a subset of the Bloods.
“[Roy] and other associates of a violent gang unleashed gunfire in the middle of a crowded bar, creating a killing zone that, in a matter of seconds, left three people dead and 10 victims wounded,” Nocella said.
