There was never any doubt that Jonathan Anderson ‘s debut at Dior would be memorable — and once again, the shoes are a big part of his design story.

The synergy between Anderson and Nina Christen , design director of shoes for the house, was on full display at the much-buzzed-about Paris Fashion Week show today.

The footwear maintained the out-of-the-box creativity showcased by the two designers when they worked together at Loewe. Christen, who is Chilean-Swiss, was behind Loewe’s balloon-adorned shoe and Comic Foam pump. With a number of luxury fashion houses on her resume, including her own brand Christen , the footwear designer joined Dior after creating some of the Row’s buzziest designs.
