OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Temperatures have started to climb this week and we’ve kicked off the month of October with highs in the mid 80s! This is well above the average with highs typically in the low 70s at the start of the month... we’ll be closer to the all time record high than the average later this week as we push into the 90s.

The rest of the evening brings breezy conditions and a 20% chance of a light shower mainly after 7PM for the Metro.

By Thursday we’ll start to see temperatures climb closer to the 90s with a breezy S wind gusting up to 20mph. Plan for a high of 89 in the Metro.

Friday is likely our hottest day with a high of 92... while we will be hot, we will stay shy of record warmth this weekend.
