CLARK COUNTY, Ind. (WAVE) - The Clark County Sheriff’s Office arrested a suspect in a Wisconsin homicide while he was hiding in a soybean field on Tuesday.
According to police, deputies found Wisconsin murder suspect Demonta Hambright by using Flock camera technology at a nearby truck stop, where he was spotted in a stolen vehicle.
Officers attempted to make contact with Hambright, causing him to flee the scene and initiating a pursuit.
During the pursuit, Hambright crashed the stolen car on Charlestown-Memphis Road. He then attempted to evade police on foot, but was caught by police while trying to hide in a soybean field.
Habright is being charged with resisting law enforcement in Clark County in addition to his homicide warrant in Wisconsin.
