MEMPHIS, Indiana — A homicide suspect wanted in Wisconsin was found hiding in a southern Indiana field on Tuesday.

The Clark County Sheriff's Office said Flock cameras at a nearby truck stop alerted deputies to a suspect driving a stolen vehicle. Police said that suspect, Demonta Hambright, was wanted out of Wisconsin for homicide.

When officers tried to stop Hambright, he fled and led deputies on a high-speed chase through local roads before crashing on Charlstown-Memphis Road.

The sheriff's office said Hambright then got out of the car and tried hiding in a soybean field, but officers found and arrested him.

Hambright is now facing charges in Clark County, Indiana for resisting law enforcement.

He is currently being held at the Clark County Jail awaiting extradition back to Wisconsi
