The Waverly Garden Club celebrated its 90th anniversary in August with the installment of a kaleidoscope planter at the Waverly Public Library.
It is located by the west entrance of the library, near the butterfly garden. The sculpture is made out of steel and includes three brass viewing scopes of different heights, with a rotating bowl for flower displays in the center. Right now, mums are placed in the center, but that will change seasonally.
Since its installment, many people from around the community have come to check out the kaleidoscope’s many colors and optical illusions.
The director of the library, Sarah Meyer, said that she thinks “it turned out really well.”
