Two people have been killed and the suspect shot dead following a horror stabbing incident outside a synagogue.
Police have confirmed the attack, which saw a car driven at members of the public and a man stabbed, happened outside Heaton Park synagogue on Middleton Road, in north Manchester, at 9.30am on Thursday.
The suspect did not gain access to the building and he was shot at the scene by armed police .
Four people, including a security guard, were injured. In an update issued just after 12pm, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said two members of the public have been killed and the suspect shot dead .
