Two people have been killed while another four are seriously injured in hospital following a “horrific” terror attack on a synagogue in Manchester.
The attacker – who is yet to be named – was shot dead by armed officers at the scene.
Police were called after the man drove his car into members of the public outside the Heaton Park synagogue, before attacking people with a knife.
The terrifying incident took place on Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the year in the Jewish calendar.
Two people have also been arrested, and a knife has been pictured near the suspect’s body at the scene.
A bomb disposal robot was also called in by the police amid fears the attacker had been wearing a suicide vest.
