A strong emergency response has descended on a field with police swiftly cordoning off an area.

Officers and paramedics were spotted near Barton’s Point in Sheerness at around 5.30pm.

Officers have reportedly cordoned off several containers on the edge of a field.

An ambulance and several police vehicles have been pictured at the scene.

Kent Police and the South East Coast Ambulance Service have been approached for more information.
