LA CROSSE, Wis. — Kwik Trip is implementing a new cash transaction policy following the U.S. Department of Treasury’s decision to stop producing pennies. As individual stores deplete their penny stock, cash transactions at Kwik Trip and Kwik Star will be rounded down to the nearest five cents.

"We’re committed to making everyday transactions simple and fair," said Scott Zietlow, CEO and President of Kwik Trip. This approach prioritizes guest experience by ensuring cash purchases favor the customer.

The rounding policy will remain in place until a legislative solution is established. Digital and card transactions will not be affected and will continue to process the exact purchase amount.
