COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Police say they arrested a man Thursday who had a felony warrant.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), officers conducted a traffic stop at the 700 block of Western Drive when the suspect driver, identified as Shawn Swanson, did not cooperate and fled.

After conducting a follow-up investigation, police say they found the suspect’s vehicle at his home and discovered Swason had a felony warrant in addition to his new charges.

Officers negotiated with the suspect, who they say refused to leave his apartment and submit to arrest.

Officers eventually forced entry, and Swanson allegedly continued to refuse to follow commands, instead barricading himself in his living room.
