OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - One person is in the hospital and another is in custody after a shooting in downtown Omaha early Saturday morning.
Omaha Police say officers were responding to a disturbance involving a firearm in the area when another gunshot was heard and a 28-year-old man was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the area of 13th and Howard streets.
The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
OPD says officers got a description of the suspect, a different 28-year-old man, and found him in the area of 13th and Farnam streets. A discarded firearm was found in the area of the shooting.
The suspect was taken to OPD Headquarters for an interview.
