PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is getting ready to close two ramps connecting I-25 and a major highway in Southern Colorado.

This morning, CDOT updated us on their I-25 and HWY 50 project in Pueblo near the Belmont area.

They’ll have to close the southbound I-25 ramp and the ramp which goes to E HWY 50.

The closure starts this coming Friday night at 7:00 P.M.

Drivers will have to use HWY 47, Cesar Chavez Blvd to access HWY 50 and southbound I-25.

CDOT Project Director for the I-25/US 50B Interchange Project Scott Dalton tells 11 News, “The reason for the project is to replace the bridges over Fountain Creek, UPRR Railroad and I-25.”
