CENTER POINT, Ala. —
Four people, including an off-duty Jefferson County Sheriff's deputy, were injured in a three-vehicle crash on Wednesday.
It happened on Center Point Parkway at 25th Avenue, according to the Center Point Fire District.
Firefighters say that three of the victims, including the deputy, were taken to UAB Hospital, where one of them is in critical condition. Two people had to be cut free from the wreckage; the deputy was not among them.

While the deputy was off-duty, she was in his work vehicle at the time of the crash.
