ST. LOUIS — A man is in custody after police say he used a blow dart gun to assault two people in south St. Louis this week.

Dillon Lambert, 22, was charged Friday with two counts of second-degree assault and two counts of armed criminal action.

Lambert used the blow gun to shoot four-inch metal darts at two people as they were walking in public, court documents said.

About 7 p.m. Thursday, a man on a sidewalk outside a restaurant at 6630 Chippewa Street felt a sting in his inner left thigh. He saw a dart stuck in his leg, police said. The victim, 20, was not seriously hurt.

About 8 p.m. Wednesday, someone launched a blow dart outside another south side restaurant, at 5220 Hampton Avenue. The dart hit a box of leftovers being carried by a woman as she crossed the street leaving the eat
