Police are investigating after a man who was allegedly kidnapped, shot and left to die in dense bushland on the NSW mid-north coast survived the night by using vines as tourniquets and fending off a wild animal.
On November 16, Joshua Dempsey was allegedly abducted from his home in Port Macquarie by three individuals, in an incident that he thought would end his life.
The 33-year-old says he had been driven deep into Bago Bluff National Park on the NSW mid-north coast, forced out of a car, stripped naked and shot before being left to die alone under the glow of the vehicle’s headlights.
“I was ordered out of the car and made to strip naked,” Mr Dempsey told News.com.au.
