GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WITN) - A man and woman are facing gun-related charges after police said they tried to use their weapons on each other yesterday.

Carl Johnson of Wilson and Angelene Cobb of Goldsboro were arrested after warrants show they confronted each other while armed.

Goldsboro police were called to the 400 block of East Spruce Street on Thursday around 3:40 p.m. for a shooting.

Online documents say Johnson attempted to shoot his gun into a car occupied by Cobb and another man.

He was charged with discharging a weapon into occupied property, attempted assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, possession of a firearm by a felon, and discharging a firearm in the city.

The 50-year-old is being held in jail without bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday morning.
