LANSING, Mich. (WILX) -On Sunday, breast cancer survivors modeled community-designed bras during the annual “It’s a Breast Thing” calendar photo shoot at the McLaren Greater Lansing Cancer Center.

The photo shoot gave breast cancer survivors the chance to model bras designed by the community. The calendar models received hair styling, makeup, nail services and massages during the event.

The models started the day nervous, but ended with new friendships being formed with others who have had similar experiences.

Betty Underwood, one of this year’s models, said the organization provides valuable support.

“It’s a breast thing, brings together a lot of resources,” said Underwood. “They bring together supports, emotional supports, physical supports, and they make you feel special and support
