A person has died after being hit by a train on a Glasgow railway line.
Emergency services were called to Easterhouse Station after receiving reports of a casualty on the railway line shortly after 1pm on Monday, October 20.
Officers attended, however, the person was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. The death is not being treated as suspicious.
According to National Rail, services Balloch/Milngavie to Airdrie, Helensburgh Central, Garscadden, Milngavie and Edinburgh are affected by the incident.
Rail replacement services are in place to run on some of these routes. Disruption is expected until 4pm.
Tickers will be accepted, at no extra cost, on alternative Scotrail services via any reasonable route.
