ROCHESTER, Minn. — Rochester Police Department recently arrested Vincent Banks, 45, in connection with a narcotics investigation linked to an overdose death.
On October 17, detectives executed a search warrant at Banks' residence, uncovering about four ounces of methamphetamine and suspected cocaine/fentanyl mixtures, according to RPD.
Banks faces charges for first degree controlled substance sales. The overdose death investigation, which began in the summer, is still active, and more charges may follow.
Police Chief Jim Franklin emphasized the department's dedication to curbing illegal opioid distribution in Rochester. "RPD is committed to aggressively suppressing the supply of illegal opioids in Rochester while actively reducing demand for drugs by helping those struggling with addict
