FOREST GROVE, Ore. — On Monday, the Forest Grove Police Department announced that the search for a 78-year-old man who went missing on Oct. 14 in Forest Grove has been suspended, after a six-day search.

Thomas Weightman was reported missing on Oct. 14 after leaving his home near Valley Crest Way and Circle Crest Drive for a walk and not returning. The Forest Grove Police Department said officers were able to briefly contact Weightman by cellphone, during which he said he had fallen and was unsure of his location. Attempts to locate him using cellphone data were unsuccessful.
