TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA)— The Bearss Grove annual giant pumpkin tradition was saved this year by "twin pumpkins" from Wisconsin.
Bearss Grove has been home to Tampa's largest pumpkin tradition for decades, and this year, no oversized pumpkins were available locally, but that did not stop Bearss Grove.
"After weeks of searching farms and marketplaces nationwide, the team struck an incredible discovery: no one, but two twin pumpkins at a farm in Wisconsin. By a stroke of luck, the parents of Bearss Groves' owner live nearby and stepped in to help, arranging heavy equipment and transportation to safely load and deliver the pumpkins to Tampa," Bearss Groves said in a release. • Credit: Farm at Bearss Groves • Credit: Farm at Bearss Groves • Credit: Farm at Bearss Groves • Credit: Farm at B
