More frustrations have been aired over roadworks on Middlesbrough’s Ladgate Lane prompted by planned repairs to a damaged culvert. At a Middlesbrough Council meeting, Councillor Mick Saunders quizzed executive member Peter Gavigan, demanding if a date had been set for the required work to begin and why it was expected to take several months.
He said temporary traffic lights had been in operation since July at the location near to the railway bridge at Marton Station and the entrance to Ormesby Hall. Cllr Saunders said: “Ladgate Lane is one of the busiest roads in the town and a major route towards James Cook University Hospital .”
