CROSSLAKE — Dodo Fraser is well-known in the Crosslake area, having lived nearly all of her 99 years here and being involved in the community through a family business and volunteering.

Yet Fraser was surprised when she was named the 2025 Crosslake Citizen of the Year .

"I was shocked. I thought, 'What in the world?'" Fraser said over a cup of coffee Oct. 16 at Pine Peaks Restaurant in Crosslake. "I was pleased."

Two nominations cite Fraser's longtime dedication to the community.
