NEW YORK (PIX11) – A billing mistake impacted thousands of E-ZPass customers, according to the New York State Bridge Authority.

The billing issue affected New York and New Jersey E-ZPass users enrolled in the NYSBA Commuter Plan; 8,000 accounts were impacted, officials said.

The billing mistake happened over two days, on October 9th and 10th.

“The Authority recently became aware of erroneous charges generated by its outside vendor related to the Commuter Plan,” a press release read. “NYSBA has been working closely with the E-ZPass NY Customer Service Center to correct the matter and has directed that refunds are to be issued for impacted accounts.”
