ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. (WBTW) -- Robeson and Marlboro counties may be in different states, but they're also neighbors struggling with what authorities say is a common problem: recent acts of "senseless acts of gun violence."
Saturday night's shooting that left two dead and wounded 11 others, many of them teenagers, at a house party in rural Robeson County, North Carolina, was just the latest incident to trigger pleas from investigators for people to come forward with information and end the violence. No arrests have been made.
The shooting on Dixon Road came on the same day the sheriff's office announced charges against a mother and son in the killing of Ray Dewayne Hodge, 35, in Fairmont on Friday., and two weeks after a man was shot and killed at a nightclub just outside of Bennettsville
