Thousands of Mid-City residents were without power on Sunday afternoon hours after thunderstorms rolled through the city, according to Entergy.
A spokesperson for Entergy New Orleans said about 4,000 customers were without power as of 1:30 p.m. and crews were investigating the cause of the outage.
“Entergy crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to restore service," the spokesperson said in a prepared statement.
The area has experienced several widespread power outages in recent weeks. On Oct. 6, more than 1,000 Mid-City residents lost power , along with another 2,100 who lost power two days later.
