LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A shooting at a Russell neighborhood club left one man dead on Oct. 25.
Louisville police responded at 11:45 p.m. Saturday to Club Cedar at the corner of 26th Street and Cedar Street. In the club’s parking lot, officers found a man who had been shot in the head. He was taken to UofL Hospital, where he later died.
WAVE News spoke to the victim’s wife, who identified him as 45-year-old Andrew Cochran.
A woman who lives nearby also spoke with WAVE on the condition of anonymity. She said she had left the area of 26th and Cedar Saturday night shortly before the shooting happened. She said she felt grateful she did so.
“Bullets fly anywhere, everywhere. Just because I wasn’t right there don’t mean anything couldn’t have happened to me,” she said.
