LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A pedestrian is dead after a hit-and-run early Sunday morning in the Okolona neighborhood.

Louisville police said around 12:15 a.m. on Oct. 26, officers were called to the intersection of Preston Highway and Industrial Boulevard. There, they found a vehicle that had hit a pedestrian in a wheelchair. That person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the vehicle they found at the scene had been abandoned, and anyone inside had fled before police arrived.
