WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - The Wichita Police Department hosted “National Drug Take-Back Day” on Saturday, as part of a collaboration with the Drug Enforcement Administration.
Multiple locations were set up around the city where people could drop off old prescription medication that was either expired or no longer needed. They collected medication of all kinds, including morphine, fentanyl, and other dangerous drugs.

The Wesley Pharmacy helped collect the drugs with the WPD, and the DEA picked up the drugs to destroy them.
Sergeant Ed Brower with the WPD said that they had a great turn out this year at their Wesley location, filling seven boxes with old drugs at just one location.
