WEST YELLOWSTONE, Mont. - All roads south of Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone National Park are temporarily closed to public travel due to hazardous conditions.
According to the National Park Service, the roads were closed at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, after Yellowstone staff "responded to more than 30 motor vehicle accidents, stranded vehicles, and slide-offs across various areas of the park."
The roads will remain closed until crews can finish safely clearing snow and addressing icy conditions.
The National Park Service emphasized that the road between Gardiner and Cooke City, Montana remain open.
