Conway, S.C. (WBTW) -- Parker's Kitchen on Monday opened its first Grand Strand location with much fanfare and promises of even more stores in the future.

Company founder and executive chairman Greg Parker presented a $5,000 donation to Horry County Schools as part of its "Fueling the Community" program, which contributes a portion of gas sales to local education.

"It's absolutely huge, Conway Mayor Barbara Blain said. "I don't know that there's any better cause. One of the greatest things that we can do for our society is educate our children."

Parker has donated millions to public and private schools across South Carolina and Georgia.
