HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) -- People who live in one Horry County community say they're relieved to see long-awaited road improvements begin.
News13 reported two weeks ago about potholes in the Island Green community off Sunnehanna Drive. The next morning, crews were out resurfacing one side of the road.
Neighbors are relieved but they're also worried it's just a band aid. County officials say finished improvements are on the way.
"I've heard so many different stories about why it hasn't been done, why they don't do it," Island Green resident Kenneth McKinney said.
More than a dozen neighbors came out to speak to News13 on Oct. 13 about potholes taking a toll on their vehicles, Sunnehanna Drive being the only exit and entrance and concerns about emergency vehicle access.
