(KRON) — A 47-year-old motorcyclist from Livermore was killed in a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of Paseo Laguna Seco and Portola Avenue in Livermore Monday.
Shortly before the crash, a vehicle driven by a 61-year-old Livermore resident was turning left onto Portola Avenue from Paseo Laguna Seco, according to the Livermore Police Department. The motorcyclist was headed westbound on Portola Avenue when the vehicles collided at 3:30 a.m.
“Paramedics arrived within minutes, but tragically, the motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene,” Livermore PD said.
The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating, police said. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Police did not release the name of the motorcyclist killed in the crash.
