BOISE, Idaho — Local students will host a fundraising concert on Nov. 5 at Treefort Music Hall to benefit the Idaho Food Bank, as the state faces rising food insecurity.
The all-ages event will feature performances by The Traveler and jdhix, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and the show running from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Admission to the concert requires donations of non-perishable food items or cash contributions for the Idaho Food Bank.
The event is organized in partnership with Duck Club, Treefort Music Hall and students from the Idaho Fine Arts Academy.
The timing of the fundraiser comes as Idaho residents face increased food insecurity amid rising grocery costs and the pause in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits affecting thousands of state residents.
