MURRAY – The Rotary Club of Murray’s 45th annual Tom Rushing Memorial Ham Breakfast will take place next weekend and will benefit Century Club Scholarships for local students enrolling in vocational technical schools.
The breakfast is scheduled for 7-10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at Murray Middle School’s cafeteria. The menu will include country ham, waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, fruit and pastries, as well as coffee, orange juice and milk to drink. Although the breakfast has been held for more than four decades now, it was renamed several years ago in honor of the late Murray Mayor Tom Rushing, who died in 2009.
The same morning, a Veterans Day parade will start at 9 a.m. and will head west on Main Street in front of the school. Publicity Chair Roger Reichmuth said this means
