Halloween is just a few days away, which means kids in central Pennsylvania will be trick-or-treating, Halloween parades are happening, and traffic will be affected.

On Oct. 28, Paxtang will host its Halloween parade, and the Swatara Township police are urging drivers in the area to be aware of a few traffic changes as a result.

The parade kicks off at 7 p.m., but township police expect traffic delays to begin along Derry Street between 29th Street and Wilhelm Road just after 6 p.m.

While township police will have fire police directing traffic and detours will be in place, they also urge drivers to avoid the area if at all possible.
