British menswear brand Universal Works and French shoemaker Paraboot are finding power in imperfection with a new collaborative collection called “La Beauté Dans L’Imperfection,” which is available now at universalworks.co.uk.

The collection reinterprets Paraboot’s classic style known as the Michael shoe, which dates back to 1945 and has served as a canvas for collaboration for many brands. It’s a two-eyelet laced style featuring thick leather with a piped seam; stitching is prominent around the natural rubber sole while a thick insole provides comfort. For men and women, the shoe features a Norwegian welt.
