TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A convicted violent sex offender who put a false address in a sex offender database will spend nearly two years in prison.

According to the probable cause affidavit (PCA), on May 2, 2025, a deputy with the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office received an email from a woman who claimed to have found her address listed on the Sex and Violent Offender Registry.

The address in the database was provided by Kyle Wyatt, even though he did not live there.

Wyatt was arrested and convicted of child molestation in 2021.

According to court documents, Wyatt was dating the woman's friend at the time. The woman told police that Wyatt had not been to her home and that she had only had interactions with him in passing.
