OMAHA, Neb. —

The Latino Center of the Midlands invests $10 million into a new community campus.

The center broke ground on Tuesday afternoon. The event was vibrant with excitement and anticipation for the new community space. The organization anticipates the facility to grow by 50 percent, and said the space is projected to finish by January 2026.

The purpose of this community campus is to unite all the Latino Center’s programs under one roof, which includes:

Modernized classrooms for GED (General Education Development), ELL (English Language Learner), citizenship and literacy programs

Dedicated youth areas

A teaching kitchen to promote nutrition

Other multipurpose spaces
