A drug addict who grabbed a woman's bottom has been locked up for sexual assault. Andrew Cox-Young began touching the woman's chest and hair, Teesside Crown Court has heard.
Paul Newcombe, prosecuting, said that the woman asked him to stop five times, but that he ignored her and continued. The victim later told police: "I turned away. He came behind me and grabbed my bottom with some force.
"He made a noise as if he was aroused by it. I screamed and froze."
On Monday, Cox-Young, 38, appeared in court to be sentenced. Mr Newcombe said that the defendant let go of his victim when she screamed.
"The defendant tried to brush it off as a joke," Mr Newcombe added. Cox-Young, of Valiant Way in Thornaby , pleaded guilty to sexual assault at a previous hearing.
