It seems the West Midlands has made a big impression over the pond in America.
American TV presenter Stephen Colbert appeared totally besotted with our region, calling it a 'dream world' on the latest episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
He was interviewing rock legend Robert Plant, the lead singer and lyricist of Led Zeppelin, who was born in West Bromwich and grew up in Halesowen , when they connected over their love of the area and the legends it has produced, including J.R.R Tolkein.

Stephen asked Robert, 77: "You lived in the West Midlands of the UK, and still live out there right?"
When Robert confirmed he still lives in the county, Stephen continued: "Okay, that's where J.R.R Tolkei
