A man has been charged in connection with a fatal crash in Kenilworth . It happened on Sunday (November 2).

Police were called to the junction of Leamington Road and Bullimore Grove at around 8.20pm. Officers found that a man had been struck by a car and was critically injured.

He was rushed to University Hospital Coventry , where he later died. Today, the victim has been named as 30-year-old Jacob Powell.

David Ball, 39, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He was subsequently charged with driving a motor vehicle whilst over the prescribed alcohol limit, said Warwickshire Police .

Ball, of Watling Road, Kenilworth , is set to appear at Warwickshire Magistrates' Court on November 19. Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
