MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Yellowrose Lott couldn't contain her excitement. Through Facebook, she shared her 9-year-old's birthday surprise with the world.

"That's Officer Gordon. Ahhh, they did it for my baby. Y'all, they did it for my baby!" Lott said in a Facebook Live video.

One by one, Memphis Police patrol cars from the Raines Precinct drove by Lott's house to celebrate her son's birthday.

"It was nice to be able to see Mom jumping for joy, and the kids were really excited," Officer Brandon Barnes said. "To be part of something like that, it's something Raines Station does often. To see him just light up, to go from just standing there staring to actually being ecstatic, to realizing what his mother arranged."
