MONTICELLO – Fire in a house on Gregory Road in the Monticello fire district on Tuesday heavily damaged the structure.
Group One members of the fire department were in the area preparing for on shift training and arrived on the scene in three minutes of dispatch.
Two dogs were rescued from the blaze and one man was treated for smoke inhalation.
Area fire departments were called in under mutual aid.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
