Gov. Kelly Ayotte’s reelection campaign rented for a day a billboard truck in midtown Manhattan the morning after the election of Democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani as New York City mayor, trying to recruit businesses to come to New Hampshire.

“New Hampshire has a lot to offer anyone who is looking to leave NYC ahead of the Mamdani regime,” Ayotte said in a statement. “We are the safest state in the country, the best for economic opportunity, and we have some of the lowest taxes anywhere. Whether you own a business or just want to keep more of your hard-earned money -- come on up to the Granite State. We’d love to have you.”

The billboard has images on three sides, with one featuring Ayotte’s pitch to businesses on one and another with a person with his head slumped down on a desk.
