PORT JERVIS – Democratic Mayor Dominic Cicalese won his second two-year term with no opposition and he is looking forward to continuing his work with the Port Jervis Common Council.

One of their first priorities will be to continue the planning for the Downtown Revitalization Initiative’s Jersey Avenue Streetscape.

“We’ve been working very hard the past few months of getting the timeline in order, getting the financing in order. We have done that and now the request for proposals went out this week, so that is one of the projects that is going to kick off 2026,” he said.

That project and others are being funded through the state’s $10 million DRI grant program.

Voters re-elected all current Port Jervis Common Council representatives to lead the city over the next two years.
