WAITSFIELD, Vt (ABC22/FOX44) - A unique fundraiser in the Mad River Valley is hoping to turn heads and raise funds for essential community services.

The Men of the Mad River Valley is a calendar fundraiser highlighting the names, faces, and so much more of those who've helped make the community what it is today.

While not often in the spotlight, these local legends stepped in front of the camera, baring it all for a good cause.

Nancy Emory is the brains behind the project.

She first got the idea in 2002, after seeing something similar done in Maple Corners.

"They had a 'Men of the Maple Corners' calendar. I've had it since 2002 and always said we're going to do it someday," Emory recalls.

In December of last year, that day arrived.

Once word got out, nominations started pouring in.
