LEBANON, Ore. - The Lebanon Fire District has announced significant leadership changes as Fire Chief Joseph Rodondi prepares to retire. Division Chief John Tacy will step up as the new Fire Chief, and Division Chief of Training Mark Fitzwater will be promoted to Division Chief of Operations.
According to the Lebanon Fire District, these promotions align with Chief Rodondi's vision of nurturing leadership from within the organization. Chief Tacy, who began his fire service career as a volunteer with the Lacomb Fire District, has served the Lebanon Fire District since 1985. He has held nearly every operational role within the District.
"I am just happy to serve in any capacity in the community I grew up in and love," Tacy said.
